A men’s US 5.5 (or 5.5Y) is EU 36.5–37 and UK 4.5; a women’s US 5.5 is EU 34.5–35.5 and UK 3 by the standard size tables.
The men’s fits a foot of 22.9 to 23.3 cm and the women’s fits a foot of 21.6 to 22.0 cm. A kids’ 5.5C is much smaller: EU 21–21.5, for a foot of up to 12.9 cm.
